چکیده
This paper revisited the link between intra-industry trade (IIT) Portugal and Spain Portuguese carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions. The research also considers effects of foreign direct investment (FDI) on CO2 emissions, pondering arguments pollution haven hypothesis halo hypothesis. As an econometric strategy, this investigation has applied panel data, namely a Pooled Mean Group Autoregressive Distributed Lag (ARDL) model Panel Quantile Regression (PQR). preliminary unit root tests indicated that IIT, Spanish renewable energy, FDI are integrated into first differences stationary with second generation test (Pesaran methodology). In next step, study multicollinearity cross-dependence variables. variance inflation factor demonstrated IIT have no multicollinear problems. However, as expected, collinearity exists energy. Regarding cross-sectional dependence test, concluded variables them. cointegration revealed overall cointegrated. results ARDL estimator, found is negatively correlated showing type encourages environmental improvements. PQR demonstrates there opposite relationship. According to this, energy impacted by revealing aims decrease pollution. Finally, reduces which explained product differentiation, innovation, monopolistic competition.
